What Community Score means
Community Score is the member’s current points total from verified contributions, less any policy deductions.
Badge progress and Free Sharing access use the current Community Score, not a rating supplied by other members.
The system keeps a separate points balance for possible future uses. Policy deductions reduce both totals, but a future redemption would affect only the spendable balance.
Community Score has no cash value. Any future redemption options would have separate terms.
When points are deducted
A score never goes below zero. Every deduction is recorded in the member’s points history and explained in a notification.
Required decision left unanswered
Applied when an approval, acceptance or reconfirmation deadline expires without a response. Declining before the deadline has no deduction.
Participant cancels late
Up to 2 points between 2 and 24 hours before an activity, or up to 5 points inside 2 hours. There is no deduction at least 24 hours ahead.
Organiser cancels late
Up to 5 points between 2 and 24 hours, or up to 10 points inside 2 hours. Illness, emergencies and safety concerns are exempt.
How points are earned
Points are added only after the qualifying action is verified. The same action cannot be rewarded twice.
Attend an activity
Earned when the organiser securely verifies your accepted attendance using your activity pass.
Host a verified attendee
Earned for each securely verified attendee, up to 10 rewarded attendees per activity.
Complete a referral
The inviter and new member each earn points after the new member’s first organiser-verified check-in.
Give a free item
Earned by the giver after both people confirm that the Free Sharing handoff happened.
Collect a free item
Earned by the receiver after both people confirm collection of the item.
Community Score badge levels
A badge appears while the current Community Score meets its threshold. A deduction can change the current badge; the points history still records how the score changed.
Good Neighbour
Made a first verified contribution to the community.
Community Helper
Regularly helps local people connect and share.
Local Contributor
Has a strong record of verified community participation.
Community Champion
One of the community’s most active contributors.
Free Sharing unlocks at a Community Score of 20.
Eligible adult members can then give and request children’s items through the verified handoff process.
Community verification is a separate badge
Community confirmations are not Community Score points. They record that eligible members confirmed meeting someone in person.
- The confirmation must come from a unique, active adult whose own identity is document verified.
- You must have met through an organiser-verified completed activity or a mutually confirmed Free Sharing handoff.
- Each person counts once, even if you have met several times.
- Self-confirmations, duplicate confirmations and confirmations from protected teen accounts do not count.
- Expired, revoked or otherwise non-current evidence does not count.
- A confirmer can revoke their confirmation, so the total and badge can change.
Three unique confirmations unlock the badge, but there is no maximum: the visible count continues to grow. A confirmation proves only that an eligible person reported meeting the member; it does not prove that the member is safe, trustworthy or background checked.
Other badges and profile signals
These labels describe specific facts. They are not additional scores.
| Signal | What it means |

| Document Verified | Current identity evidence was approved. |
| Verified Organisation | Current organisation evidence was approved. |
| Verified two ways | The organiser is both document verified and Community Verified. |
| Parent Connected | A protected teenager’s account is connected to an active parent or guardian. |
| Trusted Circle | Both members accepted a Meet Again connection after an activity. |
| Activities hosted / completed meetups | Activity counters only—not ratings or scores. |
